Pukka was started in the UK in 2002 by co-founders sebastian pole and tim westwell with three varieties of teas. Today, the brand has over 35 different varieties of organic herbal, green, and black tea blends filled with delicious goodness from superior-quality herbs.

In hindi, pukka means 'real, authentic or genuine' – it embodied everything that tim and sebastian wanted their business to be; it also sounded positive and felt ripe, juicy, tasty, and delicious to say. They officially christened their new company, pukka herbs towards the end of 2001. Taking a closer look at the ingredients, pukka detox tea is primarily made from aniseed and fennel seed (60% of the total ingredients) which are known to aid digestion, soothe cramps, prevent bloating and curb excess gas. This makes it a great herbal tea blend for after dinner. Now some mint teas can taste like toothpaste, but this one does not. Despite what you might expect, this tea is intensely rich in flavor and truly packs a punch. It is a little bit sweet but nothing too much while the spearmint gives it the kick it needs. This tea is also ethically sourced and 100% organic. Naturally caffeine-free and ethically sourced ingredients, 100% organically grown ingredients: ginger root (32%), licorice root, elderflower, sweet fennel seed, lemon verbena leaf, turmeric root, lemon essential oil flavor (6%), lemon whole (6%), lemon myrtle leaf, manuka honey flavor* (2%).
