    Key features

    • Five star hotel

    • Award-winning dining

    • Beautiful and intriguing history

    • Gift bag on departure with macaroons and information on the history of the hotel

Surrounded by south devon countryside, gaia spa at boringdon hall offers spa goers the best of all worlds. A romantic luxury hotel in a historic building brimming with intrigue, it is accompanied by a contemporary new spa within the grounds - ideal for friends, couples and groups looking for meaningful wellbeing and down time together. The one time home of lady jane grey, the uk’s ill-fated medieval queen of nine days, boringdon hall is a five star hotel in a grade ii listed building. Its royal connections date back to 956, and it certainly continues its tradition of regal splendour in its lavish rooms and suites, alongside sympathetically modern updates. Its sense of romance is enhanced by its secret archways, stone towers, and the character that hints at the rich history throughout. Certainly a location for special occasions or simply indulging, just because.

There are two sides to the dining experience at boringdon hall; the two restaurants in the main hotel and the spa’s own cafe. Experience five star fine dining in àclèaf, where the head chef showcases british fare with locally sourced ingredients. Alternatively, there’s the great hall where you are welcome to cosy up by the fire with a cup of tea and a light lunch. However, there’s also the spatisserie spa restaurant, where you can go for prosecco, brunch and afternoon tea wearing your robe and slippers throughout the day. It’s an elegant and light environment with areas where you can corner yourself off with sheer curtains - perfect for a group of friends or intimate conversation.
