5 Things Every Foodie Should Add To Their Bucket List

Here at BWG, we’re all about the finer things in life, when it comes to both travel and dining we want you to enjoy the very best experiences thanks to us. We’ve all heard of bucket lists and likely written one in our time, just a few weeks ago we shared a travel bucket list to inspire you for 2019, now we’re back again with 5 foodie things you should add to your bucket list. These 10 suggestions are bound to create an even more amazing experience for you whether you’re close to home or venturing far away.

Create your own cocktail

If you love food and drink as much as we do, why not try your hand at crafting the perfect cocktail for you? Whether you do this in one of the many bars offering the experience in the UK or enjoy a cocktail making class along the coast as you sip your favourite tipple on the beach, it’s a great experience that is a little different to your typical tourist activities. It’s a great way to experiment with local produce and mingle with a local expert as you do so.

Make fresh pasta

Of course, it would be incredible to make fresh pasta in Italy, but this is an experience that can be enjoyed across many continents. It’s always good to experience new things as you travel, but even more so when you’re mastering a new skill that you can take home and enjoy in years to come.

Taste wine straight out of the barrel

Whether you visit the wineries of Napa Valley or Tuscany, you really ought to try a drop of lovingly crafted wine straight out of the barrel. Of course, winery and vineyard tours are a great experience regardless, but it’s definitely one to add to the bucket list if you’re looking to try something a little different.

Take a local cooking class in a different country

There’s truly no better way to experience local cuisine and immerse yourself in traditional culture than heading off to a cooking class. Whether you’re learning to cook your favourite Thai dish in Chiang Mai or creating a selection of Spanish tapas in Barcelona, if a local cooking class isn’t already on your radar, it really should be!

Try something you’ve never tried before

Travelling and dining experiences should be about trying new things. You don’t necessarily have to stray too far from your comfort zone to do so, we’re not suggesting you go right in at the deep end and try something totally outrageous like the insects of Khao San Road, but you should definitely try to diversify your palette as you explore the world. Even if you start small by trying a new wine or type of fish, you might find a new favourite!

So, there you have it, 5 of our top suggestions to add to your foodie bucket list for 2019. Got a better idea? Let us know on Facebook or Instagram! We’ll be back again next week with all things travel, dining and luxury lifestyle.
